Installation

Mounting: Ground stake.

  1. Switch off power at the breaker and confirm it is off.
  2. Push each spike into firm ground where you want it and aim the head at the tree, shrub or wall.
  3. Run the cable to an exterior-rated junction box or outdoor transformer and connect as marked, using waterproof connectors.
  4. Restore power and test.

Outdoor wiring should be done by a qualified electrician following local code.

Care
  • Switch off before cleaning.
  • Rinse soil and debris off the lens with fresh water and check the seals each season.
  • Trim plants back so they do not cover the light.
  • The LED is integrated, so there are no bulbs to replace.

For tree uplighting, position the spike 12 to 24 inches from the base of the trunk and aim toward the canopy. Multiple spikes arranged around a large specimen tree provide even illumination from all sides without shadows. For garden sculptures and ornamental features, position one spike per feature at the closest approach angle that best reveals the sculpture's form. For architectural columns and gate pillars, position 6 to 12 inches from the base and aim directly upward for a clean vertical wash effect. Ensure ground spike installations have a secure outdoor outlet connection with a weatherproof cover.
