Electrical

Installation

This fixture is available in two power configurations, and installation differs between them.

Solar version

Choose a base position in direct or partial daylight so the built-in 4000mAh battery can charge fully
Mount the base to the top of your post, pillar, or column using the included hardware — the base should sit within the footprint of the post, ideally no wider than the top surface
No wiring is required; the light charges automatically during the day and turns on automatically at night

Hardwired version

Turn off power to the circuit at the breaker before beginning any wiring work
Mount the base to the top of your post, pillar, or column using the included hardware
Connect the fixture to your existing outdoor wiring, following standard ground/neutral/live wire connections
Restore power and test the fixture at the switch

Because this is a hardwired outdoor fixture in that configuration, we strongly recommend installation by a licensed electrician to ensure safe wiring, correct weatherproofing of all connections, and compliance with local electrical codes.

Care

Wipe the die-cast aluminum body with a soft, dry cloth.

The black finish is designed for permanent outdoor exposure and resists rust, corrosion, and UV fading under normal conditions
For the solar version, keep the top surface free of dirt or debris so the panel can charge efficiently

What is a pillar light and where is it used?

Pillar lights mount directly onto the top or face of a gate post, fence pillar, or masonry column. They're most commonly used at driveway entrances, front gates, and garden borders for both security lighting and architectural presence.

What size do I need for my post or column?

The base should sit comfortably within the footprint of the post or column it mounts on — ideally no wider than the top surface.

Does the hardwired version require an electrician?

Yes. We strongly recommend installation by a licensed electrician to ensure safe wiring, correct weatherproofing, and compliance with local electrical codes.

Are bulbs included?

No. We recommend warm white LED bulbs in the 2700K to 3000K range.

Delivery & costs

When will it arrive?

Delivery is free and tracked, usually 7–12 days from the day you order; you get a tracking link by email when it ships. Due to increased demand during the holiday season, some orders may take over a month to arrive.

Are there any extra costs?

Shipping is free on every order. Bulbs are only included where the specifications say so, and hardwired fixtures need an electrician to install.

Standard ceiling boxes are rated for fixtures up to 50 lb. Heavier pieces need a box rated for the weight, fixed to framing; your electrician will check this. Email us for the fixture's weight before you order.
