Installation

Mounting: Flush ceiling mount.

  1. Switch off power at the breaker and confirm it is off.
  2. Secure the mounting bracket to the ceiling junction box.
  3. Connect live, neutral and ground wires as marked (typically black to black, white to white, ground to green or bare copper).
  4. Fix the canopy or backplate over the box.
  5. Fit compatible bulbs if required, restore power and test.

Hardwired fixtures should be installed by a qualified electrician following local code.

Care
  • Switch off and let the fixture cool before cleaning.
  • Dust metal parts with a dry microfibre cloth; avoid abrasive or ammonia-based cleaners, which can dull the finish.
  • Replace bulbs only with the type and maximum wattage listed in Specifications.
Returns & warranty

Eligible items can be returned within 30 days in line with our return policy.

If your fixture arrives damaged, email photos of the item and packaging to support@airhvn.com and we'll help put it right.

The design

The challenge most globe fixtures face is that they treat this excellent form as a given rather than an opportunity: the hardware is undistinguished, the material quality is average, and the fixture reads as a default rather than a choice. The globe ceiling light is one of the most enduringly correct forms in residential lighting -- a sphere at the center of the ceiling is geometrically balanced, visually resolved, and compatible with virtually every interior style from traditional to contemporary.

Material & craft

Up close

Copper hardware is a warmly distinctive choice that photographs beautifully and coordinates with brass kitchen hardware, warm wood tones, and terracotta and amber accent palettes. Copper gives the globe warmth and a slightly vintage quality suited to farmhouse, craftsman, and eclectic interiors where material authenticity is a design value. Use the single-head copper or chrome version in bedrooms, bathrooms, hallways, and smaller dining areas where a single globe scale suits the room.

Placement guide

Where it hangs best

  • Dining rooms
  • Living rooms
  • Bedrooms

Use the single-head copper or chrome version in bedrooms, bathrooms, hallways, and smaller dining areas where a single globe scale suits the room. Deploy the three-head cluster in dining rooms, living rooms, and large kitchens where the ceiling fixture needs genuine visual authority. The copper version suits rooms with warm material palettes — amber, terracotta, warm white, natural wood and rattan accents. Chrome suits cooler palettes — white, gray, concrete, glass, and stainless steel kitchen hardware. Center the fixture precisely over the primary seating or dining arrangement — a globe fixture that is off-center reads as placed without thought rather than designed.

General guidelines
Over a table or island
Leave about 30–36 in between the surface and the bottom of the fixture so it lights the table without blocking sightlines.
Open floor
Where people walk underneath, keep 7 ft (84 in) or more of headroom; add 3 in for each foot of ceiling above 8 ft.
Over a long table
Aim for a fixture about half to two thirds the table's length, or a row of pendants spaced 24–30 in apart.
The bulb
2700K–3000K warm white suits living and dining rooms; 3000K–3500K reads crisper in kitchens and baths.
Check it against your room

Designer's rule of thumb: add the room's length and width in feet. That number, in inches, is a good fixture width.

General design guidance, not an installation specification. Follow the included instructions and local electrical code. Unsure? Email a photo of your space to support@airhvn.com.
