The Marie Brass Flushmount pairs a hand-finished brass dome with a choice of shade: white opal glass or natural white alabaster.

The opal glass shade delivers clean, uniform diffusion, while the alabaster shade carries subtle organic veining that catches and softens light from within. Each alabaster piece features unique natural veining, which is a characteristic of the stone rather than a defect.

The brass body is available in Antiqued Brass, Black, or Satin Nickel finishes, pairing the warmth of hand-finished metal with either the modern uniformity of glass or the one-of-a-kind character of stone.

The Marie Brass Flushmount is a hardwired ceiling fixture; a licensed electrician is recommended. It fits a standard round ceiling junction box, with all mounting hardware included, and is designed for flat ceilings only.

1. Turn off power to the circuit at the breaker before beginning.
2. Confirm the ceiling is flat; this fixture is not recommended for sloped or vaulted ceilings.
3. Attach the included mounting bracket to the standard round ceiling junction box.
4. Connect the wiring per local electrical code.
5. Secure the brass dome and shade to the bracket using the included hardware.
6. Install a compatible G9 bulb (bulb not included).
7. Restore power and test the fixture.

How do I choose between opal glass and alabaster?

White opal glass is the clean, modern choice: uniform color, smooth surface, even diffusion, best for contemporary interiors where you want consistent, anonymous light. White alabaster stone is the natural, characterful choice: every piece has unique veining and a subtle tonal gradient, and it glows from within when lit, best for warm interiors where you want the fixture to be a quiet conversation piece. Both read white at first glance but very differently in person.

Which bulb do you recommend?

A G9 LED bulb at 3-6W in warm white (2700K) gives the softest, most flattering light through both the opal glass and alabaster shades. The fixture accepts up to 60W per bulb. Avoid cool-white or daylight bulbs, as they can look clinical against the white shade and flatten the alabaster's natural veining.

Is this fixture dimmable?

Yes. Pair a dimmable G9 LED bulb with a TRIAC-compatible dimmer switch (e.g. Lutron, Leviton Decora). Standard non-dimmable bulbs will run at full brightness only.

What ceiling height does it suit?

With a compact profile, the fixture sits close to the ceiling and suits most standard rooms from 2.4m (8ft) upward. Being semi-flush rather than pendant, it won't hang low enough to feel intrusive in halls, bedrooms, or kitchens.

Will it work on a sloped ceiling?

We recommend flat ceilings only. On a sloped or vaulted ceiling the canopy will not sit flush and the fixture may not mount securely.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

Yes, for dry and damp bathroom zones such as the ceiling above a vanity or mirror, away from direct spray. It is not rated for installation directly above a shower or tub.
