Rice Paper Floor Lamp | Japanese Paper Lantern for Living Room & Bedroom Sale price$342.99 Regular price$529.99
Rice Paper Floor Lamp | Japanese Paper Lantern for Living Room & Bedroom
The design

This one gives it a mood. Inspired by traditional Japanese paper lanterns and shaped by wabi-sabi design principles, this floor lamp pairs a hand-shaped rice paper shade with a slim metal frame and tripod base, casting a soft, diffused glow that feels closer to candlelight than a standard bulb. It reads as sculptural during the day and glows like a lantern at night, which is why this style has become a staple in Japandi, wabi-sabi, and minimalist bedroom and living room design.

Material & craft

Up close

The rice paper shade is the whole point. Unlike fabric or plastic diffusers that scatter light unevenly, rice paper filters it into a gentle, even wash, taking the hard edge off overhead lighting without leaving a room dim. The frame is metal with a rice paper shade, built for indoor use in living rooms, bedrooms, and similarly styled spaces like reading nooks and cafes.

Delivery & costs

When will it arrive?

Delivery is free and tracked, usually 7–12 days from the day you order; you get a tracking link by email when it ships. Due to increased demand during the holiday season, some orders may take over a month to arrive.

Are there any extra costs?

Shipping is free on every order. Bulbs are only included where the specifications say so, and hardwired fixtures need an electrician to install.

Discounts

Is it on sale?

Code AUTUMN25 takes 25% off at checkout. Buying several fixtures instead? The multi-fixture savings shown above apply automatically. Discounts can't be combined, so checkout uses one or the other.

Eligible items can be returned within 30 days under our return policy.
