Installation

The Bellerin Abaca Pendant is a hardwired ceiling fixture for indoor, dry locations, compatible with sloped ceilings up to 30°. We recommend installation by a licensed electrician.

Turn off power to the circuit at the breaker before beginning installation
Mount the canopy to the ceiling junction box (sloped-ceiling compatible up to 30°)
Connect the fixture wiring to the household wiring per standard electrical practice
Adjust the 150cm/59″ suspension wire to the desired hanging height
Install an E26/E27 bulb rated up to 40W incandescent or LED equivalent (sold separately)
Restore power and test the fixture with the wall switch
If using a dimmer, confirm it is compatible with your chosen bulb

The Bellerin pairs a woven Abaca shade with wood and metal accents, so care should stay gentle and dry.

The Bellerin Abaca Pendant is hand-woven, not molded — a scalloped, sculptural shade built fiber by fiber from Abaca, a natural plant material, over a warm wood-accented frame. Light filters through the weave into a soft, directional glow, while the texture at the edges lets it breathe.

Because Abaca is a living material, no two Bellerin shades are quite alike — slight variations in knot pattern, texture, and tone are part of its handmade, organic character. It's designed to read as sculptural décor even unlit, sitting between rustic and minimal rather than fully either. Finished in Walnut & Beige, it suits dining tables, kitchen islands, and living rooms alike, and groups beautifully as a multi-pendant cluster at staggered heights.

The Bellerin's shade is hand-woven from Abaca, a natural plant fiber, shaped into a scalloped, sculptural silhouette that diffuses the bulb into a soft, directional glow while letting light breathe through the texture at the edges.

Abaca is a living plant material, so slight variations in knot pattern, texture, and tone — along with the occasional small gap or pinhole in the weave — are inherent to every piece rather than defects. Each Bellerin shade is genuinely individual.

Warm wood accents at the canopy and fitting complement the woven shade, finished in a Walnut & Beige colorway for an organic, refined character whether the fixture is lit or unlit — it's designed to work as sculptural décor even when off.

General guidelines

Over a table or island: Leave about 30–36 in between the surface and the bottom of the fixture so it lights the table without blocking sightlines.
Open floor: Where people walk underneath, keep 7 ft (84 in) or more of headroom; add 3 in for each foot of ceiling above 8 ft.
Over a long table: Aim for a fixture about half to two thirds the table's length, or a row of pendants spaced 24–30 in apart.
The bulb: 2700K–3000K warm white suits living and dining rooms; 3000K–3500K reads crisper in kitchens and baths.
