The Vale Glass Pendant pairs a hand-blown glass dome — individually hammered so no two shades diffuse light in quite the same pattern — with a solid wood canopy that grounds the fixture in a warmer, more natural material than an all-metal pendant.

The dome's open-bottom shape sends more light downward for genuine task lighting, while the hammered texture stays visible even when the fixture is off, giving it presence on the ceiling as well as when lit.

The Vale Glass Pendant is a hardwired fixture and should be installed by a qualified electrician in accordance with local electrical codes, with power disconnected at the breaker before work begins.

1. Turn off power to the circuit at the breaker box and confirm with a voltage tester.
2. Before mounting, tape a paper outline of the pendant (or hang a lightweight template) at the planned height, then check the position from the doorway and from a seated position at the table.
3. Mount the ceiling bracket to the electrical box, positioned so the pendant centers over the table rather than the room, and stays clear of seated sightlines.
4. Connect the fixture wiring to the household wiring inside the junction box.
5. For dining table installations, hang the fixture 30-36 inches above the tabletop; only raise it higher than that range if your ceiling is taller than 8 feet, so the fixture still reads as connected to the table below.
6. If installing two smaller pendants side by side rather than one larger fixture, space the centers evenly and keep both outer fixtures inside the ends of the table.
7. Install an E26-base bulb (40W max), secure the canopy flush to the ceiling, and restore power to test.
