The design

The Alton Wall Sconce shows art, mirrors, and decor in their best light, with a sleek natural brass or black body that suits contemporary and classic rooms alike. Because it is fully cordless, it goes up wherever it's needed — above a console table, beside a mirror, flanking a headboard, or lighting artwork in an entryway or den — without wiring to a switch.

A built-in touch switch and included remote put brightness and color temperature at hand, while up to 24 hours of battery life on a single charge keeps it lit through long evenings before it needs to be plugged back in.

Material & craft

Up close

The Alton Wall Sconce (SKU RDW-8038) is built with a brass lamp body finished in natural brass or black, paired with a PC (polycarbonate) lampshade over integrated LED lighting for a sleek, sophisticated profile that complements both contemporary and classic interiors.

Being fully cordless and rechargeable, the fixture has no visible wiring, letting the brass or black body read as a clean, uninterrupted accent above a console table, mirror, or headboard.

General guidelines

Living spaces: Mount around 60–66 in from the floor to the center of the fixture, near eye level.
Bathroom vanity: Either side of the mirror at about 64–70 in, or one fixture centered above it around 75–80 in.
Hallways: Space sconces roughly 8–10 ft apart for an even wash of light.
The bulb: 2700K–3000K warm white suits living and dining rooms; 3000K–3500K reads crisper in kitchens and baths.

The W dimension in the product specifications is the total depth the arm extends from the wall — useful for confirming the light will clear a thick picture frame and shine onto the artwork.

Delivery & costs

Are there any extra costs?

Shipping is free on every order. Bulbs are only included where the specifications say so, and hardwired fixtures need an electrician to install.
