The Tansy Wall Sconce pairs a cast-metal backplate with a soft, hand-pleated linen shade, giving it the layered, tailored look of a traditional wall lamp rather than a plain glass or metal fixture.

The backplate is offered in tumbled brass, antique bronze, or chrome, and the shade comes in a pleated or plain profile — the antique bronze finish reads noticeably darker in person, closer to black than to a warm bronze tone.

The Tansy Wall Sconce is a hardwired fixture and should be installed by a qualified, licensed electrician in accordance with local electrical codes. Power must be disconnected at the breaker before work begins.

1. Turn off power to the circuit at the breaker box and verify with a voltage tester.
2. Mount the wall-junction bracket to the electrical box, using hardware appropriate for your wall type.
3. Connect the fixture's wiring to the household wiring (ground, neutral, and live) inside the junction box.
4. Attach the metal backplate to the bracket so it sits flush against the wall.
5. For a two-head sconce, confirm both arms are level and evenly spaced from the backplate centerline before final tightening.
6. Install a compatible E12-base bulb (40W max) into each socket, then fit the linen shade(s) over the socket housing.
7. Restore power at the breaker and test the fixture.

Printed installation instructions ship with the fixture; keep them on hand for reference if the sconce is ever removed for wall repairs or repainting.

Is the Tansy Wall Sconce dimmable?

Dimming compatibility depends on the bulb you install and the switch it's wired to — the fixture itself doesn't include a dimmer, so pair it with a dimmable E12 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch if you want that function.

What's the difference between the single-head and two-head versions?

Both mount at the same height and share the same 10"-deep, 10"-tall profile; the two-head version is simply wider (15.5" vs. 7") to span a larger wall area, such as flanking a mirror or headboard.

Does the antique bronze finish look like the photos?

The antique bronze finish reads darker in person than it can appear in photos — closer to black than a traditional warm bronze — so keep that in mind if you're matching it to other brass or bronze fixtures in the room.

Is a bulb included?

No. The Tansy uses an E12-base bulb rated up to 40 watts, sold separately.

Can I install this myself?

Because it's a hardwired fixture, installation should be handled by a qualified electrician in accordance with local electrical codes.

The Tansy's linen shade and metal backplate both benefit from gentle, infrequent care rather than regular cleaning.

• Dust the linen shade with a soft, dry brush or a lint roller rather than water, which can leave marks on the fabric.
• Wipe the metal backplate with a soft, dry cloth; avoid household glass or metal cleaners, which can dull the finish — especially on antique bronze.
• Keep the fixture away from steam or direct moisture, such as an unshielded shower or an exterior wall without weather protection.
