Installation

This is a hardwired fixture and should be installed by a qualified, licensed electrician in accordance with local electrical codes, with power disconnected at the breaker before work begins.

Turn off power to the circuit at the breaker box and confirm with a voltage tester.
Mount the ceiling bracket to the electrical junction box (the 5" back plate should fully cover the junction box opening).
Connect the fixture's wiring to the household wiring (ground, neutral, and live) inside the junction box.
Confirm your switch or dimmer is compatible with the dimmable push-button control method before making final connections.
Install the bulb(s) into the socket(s) before attaching the shade, if the shade's design makes the bulb hard to reach once assembled.
Slide the double-layer linen drum shade down over the frame and secure it in place, keeping the shade level and centered under the back plate.
Secure the fixture flush to the ceiling and restore power at the breaker, then test.

For vaulted or sloped ceilings, use a sloped-ceiling adapter kit if your canopy does not sit flush against the angled surface, and confirm compatibility before installation.

Care

The fixture's linen drum shade and metal frame should be cleaned gently to keep its finish and appearance looking new.

Turn off power and let any bulb cool before cleaning.
Dust the linen drum shade and metal frame with a soft, dry cloth on a regular basis.
Avoid household glass/metal cleaners and abrasive pads, which can dull or scratch the finish.
For the fabric shade, a light vacuuming with a soft brush attachment on a low setting can help remove dust that a cloth alone may not lift.

Returns & warranty

Eligible items can be returned within 30 days in line with our return policy.

If your fixture arrives damaged, email photos of the item and packaging to support@airhvn.com and we'll help put it right.

The design

Beck wraps a double-layer linen drum shade around a clean, modern frame, built to diffuse light into a soft, glare-free glow rather than a direct, pointed light source. The fabric gives the fixture a textile warmth that a glass or metal shade doesn't offer, while the drum shape keeps the overall look architectural and restrained.

Offered across 4 sizes and 2 colors, Beck is sized to work as a statement piece over a dining table or kitchen island, or scaled down for a bedroom, living room, entryway, or vaulted ceiling.

Material & craft

Up close

It's built across 4 sizes, from a compact 15.7" diameter up to a statement 31.5" diameter, and is sized for dining rooms, kitchen islands, bedrooms, living rooms, entryways, and vaulted ceilings. Both the Linen and White colorways keep the same soft, neutral character, so the choice comes down to how warm or crisp you want the shade to read in the room.

Lit

After dark

The shade is a double-layer linen fabric drum, available in Linen or White. The double layer is intended to diffuse the light evenly across the surface of the shade rather than letting it show through unevenly.

Placement guide

General guidelines

Over a table or island: Leave about 30–36 in between the surface and the bottom of the fixture so it lights the table without blocking sightlines.
Open floor: Where people walk underneath, keep 7 ft (84 in) or more of headroom; add 3 in for each foot of ceiling above 8 ft.
Over a long table: Aim for a fixture about half to two thirds the table's length, or a row of pendants spaced 24–30 in apart.
The bulb: 2700K–3000K warm white suits living and dining rooms; 3000K–3500K reads crisper in kitchens and baths.

Check it against your room

Designer's rule of thumb: add the room's length and width in feet. That number, in inches, is a good fixture width.
