Installation

Mounting: Ceiling pendant, adjustable cord.

  1. Switch off power at the breaker and confirm it is off.
  2. Secure the mounting bracket to the ceiling junction box.
  3. Connect live, neutral and ground wires as marked (typically black to black, white to white, ground to green or bare copper).
  4. Fix the canopy over the box. Adjust the cord to the drop you want before tightening.
  5. Fit a compatible bulb, restore power and test.

Hardwired fixtures should be installed by a qualified electrician following local code.

Care
  • Switch off and let the fixture cool before cleaning.
  • Wipe glass or crystal with a soft, lint-free cloth; use a little glass cleaner on the cloth, never sprayed onto the fixture.
  • Replace bulbs only with the type and maximum wattage listed in Specifications.

Over a dining table, hang at 28 to 34 inches above the surface and center on the table. The deep red version is most effective in rooms with warm, neutral wall colors where the tinted light pool can spread visibly — white and off-white walls amplify the colored light effect most dramatically. Over a kitchen island, hang at 30 to 36 inches above the counter. The red glass pendant works as a single statement piece; the warm white version can be used in coordinated pairs or a small set for a more conventional multi-pendant island installation. Use warm filament or LED bulbs in the 2700K range for maximum color depth from the red glass variant.

General guidelines
Over a table or island
Leave about 30–36 in between the surface and the bottom of the fixture so it lights the table without blocking sightlines.
Open floor
Where people walk underneath, keep 7 ft (84 in) or more of headroom; add 3 in for each foot of ceiling above 8 ft.
Over a long table
Aim for a fixture about half to two thirds the table's length, or a row of pendants spaced 24–30 in apart.
The bulb
2700K–3000K warm white suits living and dining rooms; 3000K–3500K reads crisper in kitchens and baths.

Designer's rule of thumb: add the room's length and width in feet. That number, in inches, is a good fixture width.
