The Halophane Wall Sconce is a linear spotlight wall lamp built from a slim brass mounting bar with directional spot heads spaced along its length. Installation Guide

This fixture hardwires to a standard wall junction box and installs in a horizontal orientation. All mounting hardware is included in the box; a licensed electrician is recommended for the wiring step.

Mark & Prepare: use a template to mark the wall-box position. Typical centre height is 65–72" from the floor for a vanity, or 6–8" above the artwork for a picture light. Cut or locate the existing wall box
Run the Wiring: connect the ground, neutral, and live wires to the junction box. For dimmable operation, wire the circuit through a TRIAC-compatible dimmer (e.g. Lutron Skylark or equivalent) — this is an electrician's task
Mount the Backplate: feed the wires through the backplate opening, fasten the mounting bracket to the wall box with the included screws, press the backplate flush, and check level before fully tightening
Attach & Angle: secure the light bar to the backplate, install an MR16 bulb in each head, aim the spot heads as desired, and restore power

What is an MR16 bulb?

A standard small spotlight bulb format with a two-pin base, common in picture lights, track lighting, and accent fixtures. Modern MR16 LEDs are widely available, low-power (typically 3–5W), and produce a focused beam. We recommend a warm white (3000K) MR16 LED of up to 5W per head; bulbs are not included.

Which size suits my application?

The 1-head works as a single picture light or small accent. The 2-head suits standard bathroom mirrors and shelving. The 3-head is the typical vanity bar size — 21" wide, fits standard sinks. The 4-head and 5-head versions handle larger vanities (60"+ counter), kitchen counters, or full-wall picture-light installations.

Is it dimmable?

The fixture itself doesn't dim, but it becomes dimmable when paired with dimmable MR16 LED bulbs and a standard TRIAC wall dimmer. Not all MR16 LEDs are dimmable, so check the bulb specs when ordering.

Can I install it in a bathroom?

Total draw scales with configuration, from ~5W on the single-head version to ~25W on the five-head bar. The fixture becomes dimmable when paired with dimmable MR16 LED bulbs and a TRIAC-compatible wall dimmer (such as a Lutron Skylark or Leviton Decora); not all MR16 LEDs are dimmable, so check bulb specs when ordering. It hardwires to a standard junction box and runs on universal AC 110–240V.
