Installation

This is a hardwired fixture and should be installed by a qualified, licensed electrician in accordance with local electrical codes, with power disconnected at the breaker before work begins.

Turn off power to the circuit at the breaker box and confirm with a voltage tester.
Mount the ceiling bracket to the electrical junction box (sized to the fixture's mounting point).
Connect the fixture's wiring to the household wiring (ground, neutral, and live) inside the junction box.
Install the bulb(s) into the socket(s) before attaching the shade, if the shade's design makes the bulb hard to reach once assembled.
Secure the fixture flush to the ceiling and restore power at the breaker, then test.

Care

The fixture's molded glass shade should be cleaned gently to keep its finish and appearance looking new.

Turn off power and let any bulb cool before cleaning.
Dust the molded glass shade with a soft, dry cloth on a regular basis.
Avoid household glass/metal cleaners and abrasive pads, which can dull or scratch the finish.
Dust the shade's molded texture with a soft, dry cloth, following the contours of the pattern to avoid missing recessed detail.

Returns & warranty

Eligible items can be returned within 30 days in line with our return policy.

If your fixture arrives damaged, email photos of the item and packaging to support@airhvn.com and we'll help put it right.

The design

The Sylvie takes a classic molded-glass silhouette and gives it genuine vintage character, pairing an intricately textured shade with warm brass-finished hardware.

Offered in black, green, or brass glass, it brings old-world detail to farmhouse, transitional, and modern eclectic interiors without feeling dated.

Material & craft

Up close

The Sylvie pairs an intricately molded glass shade with a warm brass-finished body, giving it a vintage-inspired character that reads equal parts antique and modern.

Available in black, green, or brass glass, it carries a flower-inspired molded texture across every colorway rather than a plain smooth dome.

Lit

After dark

Available in Black, Green, or Brass glass. As with any handcrafted glass, slight variation in texture or tone between individual pieces is normal.

Placement guide

General guidelines

Over a table or island: Leave about 30–36 in between the surface and the bottom of the fixture so it lights the table without blocking sightlines.
Open floor: Where people walk underneath, keep 7 ft (84 in) or more of headroom; add 3 in for each foot of ceiling above 8 ft.
Over a long table: Aim for a fixture about half to two thirds the table's length, or a row of pendants spaced 24–30 in apart.
The bulb: 2700K–3000K warm white suits living and dining rooms; 3000K–3500K reads crisper in kitchens and baths.

Check it against your room

Designer's rule of thumb: add the room's length and width in feet. That number, in inches, is a good fixture width.

Questions

Questions about the Sylvie Glass Pendant

The questions people ask before they order, answered straight.

This fixture

Is a bulb included?

No. The Sylvie uses a single E26-base bulb rated up to 60 watts, sold separately.

Does the color affect the size?

No — Black, Green, and Brass all share the same 9.64" D x 4.72" W x 7" H dimensions.

Where does the Sylvie work best?

It suits dining rooms, kitchen islands, bedrooms, hallways, entryways, and living rooms alike.

Can I install this myself?

Because it's a hardwired fixture, installation should be handled by a qualified electrician.

Delivery & costs

When will it arrive?

Delivery is free and tracked, usually 7–12 days from the day you order; you get a tracking link by email when it ships. Due to increased demand during the holiday season, some orders may take over a month to arrive.

Are there any extra costs?

Shipping is free on every order. Bulbs are only included where the specifications say so, and hardwired fixtures need an electrician to install.

Can I return it if I change my mind?

Eligible items can be returned within 30 days under our return policy.

What if it arrives damaged?

Email photos of the box and the fixture to support@airhvn.com with your order number and we'll sort it out.
